    Director, Client Development



    The Director, Client Development is a sales and new business development role. Key responsibilities include new business development, marketing strategy, and relationship management. He/she will also be responsible for new business pitch development from project management, creative strategy, presentation development, and contract execution.  Strong leadership, strategic and analytic skills, project management, presentation skills and relationship management skills are essential.


    • Own and lead sales opportunities from lead nurture to RFP to pitch to negotiations
    • Nurture and follow up to warm leads generated by marketing team
    • Develop customized integrated search, social, and ecommerce strategies for new business pitches
    • Lead pitch team of subject matter experts to help facilitate the presentation development process including timetables, presentation materials and outside resources
    • Support projects as delegated by the Director of Sales & Marketing Integration
    • Conduct client research to support business development efforts
    • Prospect targeted companies to generate new leads
    • Understand and leverage Catalyst offerings, solutions, tools and capabilities
    • Maintain up to date knowledge of digital marketing industry trends and new platforms
    • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a results driven, team oriented environment
    • Maintain key customer relationships and develop and implement strategies for expanding the company’s customer base


    • BA/BS degree required
    • At least 5 years relevant experience, preferably in a media, advertising, or search marketing agency
    • Outstanding consultative selling abilities and excellent interpersonal skills
    • Strong presentation skills
    • Technical proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications with superior expertise in PowerPoint (able to create templates/master slides)
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills
    • Ability to think creatively and innovatively in all capacities including client pitches and problem solving
    • Ability to work in a fast paced, timeline driving environment
    • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while simultaneously directing the work of others
    • Ability to think strategically
    • Excellent relationship building skills
    • Ability to work under minimal supervision and take initiative on assigned tasks
